La date de création « 1er juin 1998 » figure du côté gauche du dessin et la valeur faciale « 2,5 EURO » à droite. L’inscription « BANQUE CENTRALE DU Luxembourg » entoure le dessin dans la partie supérieure de la pièce, et un alignement de douze étoiles dans la partie inférieure.Le revers de la pièce porte Notre portrait, l’indication « LËTZEBUERG » et le millésime « 2018 ».Elle est frappée en qualité « proof » et a la tranche lisse. Elle a un diamètre de 16 mm et a un poids total de 3,11 grammes d’or pur au titre de 0,999.
